Biscuit
3 yearsA letter from Biscuit
Dear Future Family, I have a confession — I already know where your sunniest window is, and I plan to sleep there every afternoon without apology. I'm very good at sitting. Less good at not stealing socks. But I always bring them back. Yours (seriously, yours), Biscuit 🐾

Maple
5 yearsA letter from Maple
To Whoever Picks Me, I've been told I have an old soul. I prefer "distinguished." I like quiet mornings, long walks where nobody rushes me, and sitting close enough to touch but not on top of you. I was someone's dog once before. I know how good it can be. Ready when you are, Maple 🍁

Clementine
1 yearA letter from Clementine
HELLO! IT'S ME! CLEMENTINE! I have a lot of energy and I am not sorry about it. I can jump very high. I learned sit and down and stay but sometimes I forget stay because THERE IS SO MUCH TO SEE. I need someone who thinks running is fun. I will make you laugh every single day. YOUR BIGGEST FAN, Clementine 🍊

Theodore
7 yearsA letter from Theodore
Dear Friend, I'm seven. I know things. I know that mornings are for slow walks and evenings are for being close to the people you love. I'm not going to chew your shoes. I already know better. I'm not going to jump on guests. I just want to say hello. I have so much left to give. With everything I have, Theodore 🌅

Waffles
2 yearsA letter from Waffles
Hi There, My name is Waffles and I was named after breakfast food and I think that says everything about the energy I bring. I like swimming. I like your bed. I like when you come home. I like treats but I also like regular food and honestly I like most things. Let's be best friends? Optimistically yours, Waffles 🧇

Hazel
4 yearsA letter from Hazel
Hey You, I've been waiting for the right family. Not because I'm picky — because I'm worth it. I'm good on a leash. I'm good off a leash too, but let's build trust first. I like hiking and I'm not dramatic about rain. I think we're going to be good for each other. See you soon, Hazel 🌰
The Rescue Journey
From 48 hours left
to a lifetime ahead.
Every dog in our care follows this path. Scroll to watch one story unfold.
Pulled from the shelter
Our volunteers coordinate with kill shelters across the Southeast. When a golden's time is running out, we move. Within hours, they're out and safe.
Vet exam & medical care
Every dog gets a full exam, vaccines, dental check, and any treatment they need. We spend an average of $1,600 per dog before they ever meet a family.
Life in a real foster home
Not a kennel. A couch, a backyard, a family. Foster families document everything — how they sleep, what spooks them, how they greet strangers — so we can match them right.
Finding the right family
We don't just find a home. We find the right home. Applications, home visits, and a meet-and-greet at the foster's house — where the dog is most comfortable.
The forever begins
Medical records transferred. Microchip registered. Foster family on speed dial. And a dog who finally, completely, knows they're home.

By the Numbers
The proof is in the paws.

Adopter Stories
In their own words.
"We were nervous first-time dog owners. Goldie walked us through every step. Our foster family called us two weeks after we brought him home just to check in. That care — that's the difference."

"Our daughter had been asking since the third grade. When Maple walked in and sat directly in front of her — just stared at her like "oh, there you are" — we all started crying. Still makes me cry."

Marcus & Priya Nair
Atlanta, GA · Adopted Maple
"I'm retired. My kids are grown. I didn't realize how quiet the house had become until Theo arrived. He sleeps at the foot of my bed and I wake up every morning thinking — how did I do this without you?"
Diane Kowalski
Columbus, OH · Adopted Theodore
"We run half marathons. We hike every weekend. We needed a dog who could keep up. Clementine doesn't keep up — she leads. Best training partner either of us has ever had."

Jordan & Alex Mercer
Denver, CO · Adopted Clementine
